Funded under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), Mission 4 Component 2 Investment 1.3, Theme 10.
Our project falls within the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), which the Italian Government has prepared as part of the Next Generation EU program. We are one of the 14 partnerships selected under the Education and Research mission, for the theme Models for Sustainable Nutrition.
OnFoods promotes Open Data Science with open-access contributions, including articles, working papers, and policy briefs. The research outputs address key topics such as the right to food and nutritional health, combining transparency and collaboration to disseminate knowledge valuable to both the scientific community and society.
Today, with the "medialization of science," public visibility is increasingly integrated into scientific practice without compromising quality. To address this challenge, OnFoods Magazine publishes weekly articles, interviews, and updates, making OnFoods research accessible to the public. Our goal is to balance accessibility with scientific rigor.
Our Founding Partners are central to this vision, guiding scientific governance, strategy, and the translation of research into practical applications. Through long-term engagement, they help create a clear, replicable path from knowledge to industrial innovation, reinforcing research as a driver of sustainable growth in the agrifood sector.
Conceived to expand participation through new public–private consortia, the Cascade Funding initiative supports research and innovation projects with strong SME involvement. By co-funding activities focused on technology transfer and industrial validation, it strengthens territorial impact, fosters value-chain collaboration and accelerates market-ready solutions.
